Qualifications:
Experienced as the Hula/Tahitian instructor for the Union City Leisure Services & the NHUSD Discovery
Afterschool Program from 2002-2007. I was also a guest instructor for the Westlake School of
Performing Arts. I have over 25 years of dance experience. Attained valuable & extensive training and
lessons from Tahiti's famous instructor, Makau Foster-Decuvellerie of Tamariki Poerani, of Papeete,
Tahiti. As well as famous Aunty Roiti Sylva who was the creator of the "Ahuroa".

1977-1987 Polynesian Dance Basics, Nelani Rogers Dance Troupe, San Francisco
1990-2001 Professional Dance Company, Spirit of Polynesia, Danville
Experience:
1977-1987 Participated in recitals and performed for small parties.
1990-1996 Spirit of Polynesia- Performed for various entities from your basic birthday parties,
corporate events, Royal Viking Cruise Line, and 49er Half Times. In 1995 won 1st
place solo amateur level in the Kiki Reina Competition. Selected finalist for San Jose
Tahiti Fete 1995.
1997 Participated in Tahiti Fete of San Jose with Spirit of Polynesia and received 1st place
aparima amateur group and 2nd place ahuroa amateur group
2002+ Assist Westlake School of Performing Arts with their Competition Training with many
soloists who took 1st, 2nd, & 3rd placements.
2003 Co-choreographed "Black Pearl" for WSPA and took 1st place in the California State
Talent Competition held by Youth Focus, Inc
2004 San Jose Tahiti Fete Finalist.
2005 1st Place Tamari'i Otea, San Jose Tahiti Fete with WSPA
2006 Attended Tahitian Conference "No Te Here", Mexico City, Mexico. Spent valuable time
with well know instructors and judges. Will be attending Hapa Haole Hula festival in
Vegas to attend workshops by Sonny Ching, Vikki Holt Takamine, and Manu Boyd.
Participated in Hilo Fete with sister halau Tiare O Te Ao and attained 1st place hura
ava tau Ahuroa.
Present Director of Tehani Dance Studio. Provide inspiration for girls to be bright, courageous
& confident young ladies! Committed to building a strong Polynesian dance
foundation for today's youth.
Own trademarks Hula Mom & Motorbutt the "nike" for the Polynesian Dancer.
